During the report period the current state of prospecting and geological exploration of amber was analyzed, current amber deposits and consequences of illegal amber mining were described, areas of raw amber sampling for database of Ukrainian deposits were defined. Amber processing technologies were researched and reference materials were formed for expert evaluation of semi-finished products and natural, processed and pressed amber. The system of quality evaluation of raw amber was improved, a draft of "Regulations on expert evaluation of raw amber" and recommendations on the conditions of long-term storage of amber were developed.
