The peculiarities of distribution of these groups of entomophagous insects, their trophic relationships and the nature of parasitism, are clarified. The trends of morphological and ecological evolution of chalcidoid wasps (of "eulophid complex" in particular) demonstrated for the first time, phylogenetic reconstructions based on morphological and molecular genetic data on a broad interactive matrix as an example cybertaxonomy, were conducted. A review of the genus Nikanorya of the world fauna was reviewed for the first time. The subfamily Telenomine were analyzed for the first time and this review was published as a separate monograph. as well as a monograph on the principles of the monitoring of ant genus Formica. These results show that both plant and herbivore species mediate the battleground on which competitive interactions between parasitoids are played out and may affect the outcomes of these interactions in ways that enable parasitoids to segregate their niches. This in turn may promote coexistence among parasitoid species that are associated with the same herbivore host. The biological characteristics, such as associations between parasitoids of Braconidae and their hosts were studied. Also, the introduced parasitoid Achrysoharoides robiniae, which is the natural enemy of the introduced pest Macrosaccus robiniella in Ukraine, was recorded for the first time in Ukraine. New data on ichneumonid-wasps in the Ukrainian Carpathians, including the parasitoids of xylophagous insects were supplemented: a review and new findings were reported for the pimplines, alomiyines, kampoplegines, xoridines and rhyssines. 116 extant species and two genera of parasitoids, as well as 5 extant species of ants were described as new for science. 10 species and 7 new genera of extinct (fossil) parasitic Hymenoptera and 10 fossil genera and 4 fossil ants ere also described as new for science. 59 species and one genus of parasitic Hymenoptera, as well as six species and one genus of ants were recorded in Ukraine for the first time. The Department's collection was supplemented by more than 80,000 specimens in 2011-2015. The results of scientific research were implemented in 6 monographs, 108 publications in peer reviewed journals, 2 catalogues, 11 scientific notes, 33 tabstracts and 39 popular science articles; 21 papers were published in international rated reviews with impact factor (IF).
