During this period there was collected a large amount of special professional information about BAT in respect of measures to promote the approach to the European standards of energy performance impact on the environment. The information on the best available technologies recommended by the EU for energy and other energy-consuming sectors has been collected, structured and summarized. There is considered the best methods of fuel handling during its production, transport and storage, methods of increasing the efficiency of boilers and turbines, for example, such as cogeneration of heat and electricity, pre-heating fuel and / or air secondary heat resources, the use of new materials, reheating steam, use of new computerized monitoring systems, and others. There is described the best practices to prevent and control emissions of NOx and carbon oxides, new methods of prevention and control of water pollution.
