This period is known for the outstanding investigations: the temenos, devoted to Aphrodite with the remains of two temples, altars and bothroi; the part of defensive wall of the Roman citadel; number of graves at necropolis - at Olbia, and the Ceramic district at Borysthenes - the district of the local ceramic production. In Olbia - the Eastern trade house, excavated at the end of 1940 - the beginning of 1950, was renewed at the level of its building plan. The results of the researched project possess the scientific value; the Museum Foundation of Ukraine received a number of new and expensive artifacts; they are connected with the further development of archaeology and museum work in Ukraine.
