The purpose of research - to get current information about the migration and distribution of radionuclides in different types of forest ecosystems, the updating data on the intensity of the transition of radionuclides in the chain "soil - plant" and "ground - mushrooms" to develop refined version of the "Recommendations on forest management in conditions of radioactive contamination". Research methodology - the classic method of comparative ecology of the forest, with its deeper detail on individual forestry and environmental areas. A survey of forests in contaminated lands was carried out in accordance with the "Methodology of the survey of contaminated forests for their rehabilitation (2010-2015.)", approved by the Scientific and Technical Council of State Committee of Ukraine (protocol №2 of 23 June 2010). The research are aimed on monitoring the accumulation of 137Cs by the main tree species in the region; the study of the accumulation of 137Cs by the wild berries and herbs on permanent sample plots, the vertical redistribution of radionuclides in soil; detailed study of the distribution of 137Cs in the components of Ukrainian Polissya ecosystems. The modern dynamic performance migration of 137Cs in forest ecosystems on the basis of forest typology is studied; the radioactive contamination of forest products in the region is analyzed.
