As a result of the work, a thorough analysis of the existing legal and technical documents, the analysis of the accounting system of liquid ammonia and system of meters calibration were carried out. The ways of modifying calibration settings were presented, structure and requirements for measuring equipment calibration method to account the liquid ammonia were defined, the "road map" program to modernize the accounting system of ammonia in the Ukrainian section of the main ammonia pipeline was developed, a set of technical requirements that must be met to bring the legal and technical basis of SE "Ukrkhimtransammiak" in accordance with modern requirements, with respect to self-managing of Ukrainian section of the main ammonia pipeline was designed.
