The technology is based on the triple repeated sublimation of magnesium in high vacuum, which allows to obtain 80% of a suitable material for each step. The character of distribution of impurities on the thickness at sublimates magnesium different purity was studied. It was found existence in a freeze-dried material the barrier layer thickness ? <2 microns, wherein the content of impurities on the surface in 2-600 times more the impurity content in the residue (for different impurities: Mn - 2 times, Cr - 2 times, Si - 4 , Zn - 5 times, Al - 8 times, Cu - 10 times, P - 20 times, Fe - 30 times, Ca - 50 times, Cl - 70 times, S - 300 times, K - 600 times). It was shown that the sublimation of magnesium is a complex physical-chemical process with a significant chemical interaction in the system of magnesium-impurities, resulting in a strong contrast to the values of the effective and ideal separation factors for all of recorded impurities.
