The object of research - the consistent patterns of political adaptation to the conditions of a crisis of social development in Ukraine. Purpose of work - determine the influence of the political aspects of adaptation practices in the process of social transformation in Ukraine. Methods of research - theoretical and empirical generalizations, targeted monitoring, expert interviews, questionnaires, secondary sociological analysis. It wos found that the nature and results of social transformations in Ukraine depend on the adaptive capacity of its political system and the prevailing political adaptation practices of social actors; that the mechanisms of formation of the Past are derived from an ambivalent state of mass consciousness, which at the same time present modern and pre-modern values, meanings and simbols; was developed factor model analysis of politico-adaptiv processes at the system level; it was shown that cyclical nature of the political process is related to cyclothymic reactions of mass entities on policy changes; was proved that among the group of tactics to adapt to permanent social and political crisis dominated their partial and superficial types, which have the features of temporary accomodation, and a result of conflicting strategies and tactics of group entities is adaptive asymmetry; discowered that a reserve of formation of innovativ structural politico-adaptation practices is public domain at the local level; offered measures to enhance the adaptive capacity of politically active actors in local communities.
