Lazaryan popup.description2 Comparative field tests were done according to the approved Testing program. Railcars average mileage was 120.000 km. Polyurethane bushings made by LTD "Lugansk plant "Polymer" were installed to the brake rigging of the experimental railcars. Polyurethane bushings were in good technical condition after tests. No visible damage or destruction was noticed, except mechanical damages of polyurethane bushings as a result of joints dismantling on wagon repair plants. Experimental polyurethane bushings wear rate is on 10…16% higher than wear rate of metal and ceramic bushings. It is established that in joins with polyurethane bushings their wear rate is on 15% higher. At the same time counterfaces i.e. rollers are in a perfect condition. In joints with metal and ceramic bushings rollers wear rate is on 6% higher. Thus, polyurethane bushings save from wear rollers of brake rigging and prolong their lifetime between services. Comparison of the received data indicates the approximate sufficiency and wear characteristics of bushings made of different materials. Analysis of testing operation leads to the conclusion that polyurethane bushings can be recommended for use on freight railcars, but bushings saving technologies from mechanical influence should be improved.
