The problems of the national oil industry and development trends of the national market of petroleum products and their production were defined. The modern technologies of hydrogenation of coal were studied. The choice of the most appropriate technology for the conditions of Ukraine hydrogenation of coal was substantiated The comparative analysis of technologies of direct coal liquefaction was carried out. Flow-chart hydrogenation of coal was developed. The technical and economic standards for capital and operating costs of production of synthetic oil were worked out. There was substantiated the choice of process diagram and developed the material balance of the direct coal liquefaction coal process.
