Research object: is the process of the socio - economic differentiation of regions. Research purpose: theoretical foundation and development of practical proposals to improve the mechanisms of the socio - economic differentiation of regions. Research methods: logical, historical, analysis, synthesis, statistical analysis, comparison, modeling. Research results and their novelty: first worked out the theoretical basis for building fiscal mechanism to overcome social and economic differentiation of regions; it was improved methodical approach to determining the recipient regions and system of investment support to troubled regions. Field of application: Public administration.
