The basis of this method is the selection of the spectral distribution of the conversion electrons from a mixed range of the electron beam. This division is obtained using a dual-channel detection module comprising two planar silicon detectors 300 microns thick gadolinium converters, wherein one of the detectors has a screen for further conversion electron absorption. As a result of work on phase 1: - Simulated radiation processes, diffusion and absorption in dual-detector module in the capture of thermal neutrons by means of a software package GEANT4; - Performed development and testing of the physical processes occurring during the passage of the spectrum of thermal neutrons in dvohdetektornoy modular system; - Calculated the passage of neutrons, electrons and CXR, depending on the geometrical dimensions of the components of the module dual-detector system; - Simulated response in the implementation of the method of gamma-electron separation of mixed signal (dual-detector system) by the action of the mixed flow to the actual geometry and location of the module components; - Designed dual-detector module design based on uncooled silicon detectors with converters of metal gadolinium; - Designed electric signal processing circuit of the two-detector module; - Developed by the software to measure the spectra of thermal neutrons in dual-detector module system.
