Particularly, the directions of light wave propagation and voltage appling which maximize the observed effect are defined. The changes of structural and optical characteristics of LiNbO3 crysta due to ihgh-temperature annealing in reducing and oxidizing atmospheres as well as at the presence of metal ions (Cu, Fe, Ni) are determined by group of methods including optical and IR- spectrometry, secondary ions mas-sprectrometry, X-rays difractometry. The obtained results allow to predict and optimize the paramaters of technological processes of wave-guide structures formation. The mathematical modeling of redox annealing is carried out. The mathematical model taking into account the oxygen vacanices incorporation into the crystal during reduction annealing and the changes of the optical absorption caused by boundary polarons and bipolarons formation is in good aggrement with experimental results.
