The analysis shows that the majority of the continuously operating earth-digging machines for the soil retrieving are using belt conveyers of different design s including convoluted conveyor which allows to accelerate the soil to the higher speed on the short path while being of the smaller dimensions compared to inclined conveyors. Mathematical model of the soil behavior on the belt of the conveyor under the action of external forces has been created. The model takes into account the peculiarity of the machine MBT-2M that the soil is being offloaded from the flail section to the conveyor in two points. The rationale for the MBT-2M machines convoluted conveyor parameters has been created using this model.
