The research subject is an aerodynamic system for deorbiting booster stages of launch vehicles. In the study information and analytical methods and those of systems engineering are used. The results obtained. In the context of the scientific and technical project aerodynamic systems for deorbiting booster stages of launch vehicles are reviewed. A technique for pressurization of the aerodynamic system is selected. Based on this technique, a structural arrangement and its design parameters are developed. System parameters on a criterion of the minimal system mass are optimized. As a result it is found that the optimal structural arrangement of the aerodynamic deorbiting system is a tore with balloons. Borderline applications of aerodynamic systems for deorbiting boosters of launch vehicles are established. It is found that the aerodynamic system for deorbiting boosters of launch vehicles would be appropriate for use in orbits at altitudes up to 750 km.
