Purpose - to replenish the collection with new strains of microorganisms to develop optimal conditions long-term storage of cultures of microorganisms. Research methods: microbiological, biochemical, serological, molecular-genetic, gasochromatographic and methods of mathematical statistics. Nodule bacteria are selected from the nodules of sainfoin, lotus, mung bean, serradella and their phenotypic traits are studied. According to the developed scheme immunization of rabbits received three highly specific antisera to the strains of nodule bacteria of lupine, which allowed to divide them into 3 serogroups. Determined that best for long-term storage of nodule bacteria are enhanced with pea environment or lopinavir broth, ammonium sulfate, and selected concentrations of carbohydrates. It was found that different methods of storage did not significantly affect the efficiency of the production of strains of B. japonicum M-8, B. japonicum 46 and A. brasilense 18-2. The highest increase of yield was provided by cultures that were in one case replanted periodically and stored in lyophilized state (11,1-18,9%).
