Also studies were made on the distribution of alloying elements in welded joints, obtained after processing welded edges by FSW method. Metallographic and strengthening studies were conducted of aluminum alloy welded joints 7010 and 7085, as well as magnesium MA2 obtained after the auxiliary alloying and modifying by the friction with stirring. The optimum welding modes layout with butt and ring joints of aluminum and magnesium alloys with thickness up to 60 mm. The research was made on the development of methods and technologies of using adding material for the auxiliary alloying and modification edges by FSW.
