The purpose of research - is to establish the relationship of parameters of effective fertility with direction and intensity of agronomically important microbiological processes, stability of microbial groups of gray forest soil at the application of various systems of fertilization and liming. It is established that neutralization of the acidity of soil solution can increase the total biological activity of gray forest soils in the variant without mineral fertilizers by 19,3 % and with mineral fertilization by 21,1 %, against the background of plowing of exogenous organic matter (ЕОМ) by 15,1 %. Liming can reduce the level of soil phytotoxicity without mineral fertilizers - by 5,71 %, with mineral fertilization and liming on the background of entering EOM by 12,2 %. The plowing of the biomass of green manure crops and by-products of predecessor in rotation slows the processes of mineralization of organic and nitrogen substances of soil: in the variant with single dose of entering EOM reduces the index of pedotrophicity by 55,1 %, the index of oligotrophicity by 50,6 %, the index of nitrogen mineralization-immobilization - by 5,56 %. The total biological activity, as a result of plowing of exogenous organic matter in the soil of the variant with the use of only chemical fertilizers increases by 3,78 %, with the use of mineral fertilizers and liming reduced by 12,4 %, which is a consequence of high ability of retain water by exogenous organic matter.
