A. V. YA. YURYEV NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRАRIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE popup.description2 Study Object - soft and hard spring wheat, emmer. Study Objective - creation of new varieties that exceed the existing ones by major economic characteristics. Study Methods - conventional methods. During 2001-2015, 421 hybrid combination were created using Triticum aestivum, Triticum dicoccum, Triticum durum, Triticum turgidum, Triticum sphaerococcum, Triticum isphahanicum and amfodiploida Tritordeum species. A promising in terms of valuable economic characteristics material was selected in breeding nurseries. Guidelines were developed to improve the breeding efficiency with hard wheat, which unlike previous analogues, present a system of measures to create competitive varieties under climatic changes and insufficient funding from the state. The results of practical work with emmer since 2001 in the Laboratory of Spring Wheat Breeding were summarized. Types of crosses, generations to be selected, specific parent forms, which contribute to sufficient amount of breeding material, were established, on the basis of which guidelines on creation of highly adaptive emmer varieties with easy threshing for the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, were prepared for publication. Two breeding lines of soft spring wheat L 683-12 and L 685-12, which are characterized by group resistance to pathogens and unfavorable abiotic factors, lodging resistance, high productivity, were highlighted. The selected lines were registered in the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine and implemented in breeding programs. According to the plan, five spring wheat varieties ('Novatsiya', 'Golikovskaya', 'Veselka', 'Romanovskaya', 'Diadema') were submitted for state variety trials. Hard wheat variety 'Dinastiya', soft wheat variety 'Ulyublena', emmer variety 'Golikovskaya' (the first in Ukraine) enriched the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine The economic effect from the implementation of new spring wheat varieties will be at least 900 UAH / ha due to increase in the grain yield by 0.3 t / ha. Use of soft wheat flour with gluten not worse than class 3 as raw material for flour manufacture will allow obtaining high-quality bakery products and improving winter wheat flour. Use of hard wheat grain with high quality indices will enhance the nutritional value of pasta. Emmer grain is high quality raw material for groat and bread production, in addition, emmer straw is of forage and technological importa Product Description popup.authors Діденко Світлана Юріївна Звягінцева Анна Миколаївна Лебединський Богдан Олександрович Петренкова Віра Павлівна popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
