A. V. YA. YURYEV NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRАRIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE popup.description2 Study Object - triticale. The objective was to create new source material, to develop effective breeding techniques and improve triticale varieties by yield capacity, adaptive properties, grain quality. Research Methods - field: hybridization, selection, visual assessment of the growth rate, winter hardiness and drought resistance, disease resistance; laboratory: methods for determination of grain quality and molecular-genetic polymorphism (protein, starch, test bread baking and others), statistical analysis. Practical Results: over the period of 2011-2015, 830 new hybrid combinations were created; in total 103,700 lines and varieties were worked at, which are 69.9 and 92.8%, respectively, in comparison with 2006-2010 In 2015, 183 new hybrid combinations were created; in total 20,033 lines and varieties were worked at. 5,819 valuable triticale accessions and 21,500 elite plants were highlighted for further research. Molecular-genetic polymorphism of triticale varieties and lines with various levels of quality protein-carbohydrate complex was investigated. 48 DNA loci were identified. Unique fragments were detected in varieties HAD 212, 222 HAD and HAD 522-390. These varieties is of great interest for genetic and breeding research to increase plant productivity, grain quality and adaptive properties. The research on improving ways to create synthetic triticale varieties with protein-carbohydrate complex of improved quality is being completed. The implementation of the new method in breeding has accelerated the selection of triticale lines and varieties with high technological qualities of grain. 23,700 accessions are planned to explore in 2016. Over the report period, in total seven triticale varieties, including two - Pavlodarskiy (HАD 608) and Timofey (HАD 238/189) - in 2015 were submitted to the state trials in Ukraine. Winter triticale varieties Nikanor (since 2012), Yaroslavа (since 2013), Donets and Plastun Volynskiy (since 2014) have been tested in the state variety trials. In total nine winter triticale varieties and three winter wheat varieties were included in the Registry of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. 17 scientific works were published in 2011-2015; of them 2- in 2015. Over the report period, 335 tons of seeds of registered triticale varieties were obtained in seed nurseries, and 262 tons were sold Product Description popup.authors Непочатов Микола Іванович popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
