Two drought-resistant pea breeding lines SL 10-124 and SL 09-214 with resistance to lodging and shedding of 7-9 points, resistance to Fusarium root rots of 7-8 points, to Ascochyta leaf and pod spot of 7 points, to downy mildew of 8 points, with yield capacity of 2.77-3.17 t/ha, and protein content of 21-24% were selected. New grain pea variety 'Haiduk' was created and submitted to the state variety trials. The variety is leafless, mid-ripening, resistant to lodging and shedding (9 points); the growing period length is 75-80 days; the potential yield capacity is 5.5 t/ha; protein content in seeds is 22-24%; resistance to Fusarium root rots is 7- 8 points, to Ascochyta leaf and pod spot - 7 points. The new variety meets all the requirements of production.
