Purpose - to study the influence of nutrient backgrounds, predecessors and plant growth regulators on yield capacity and sowing parameters of winter wheat and spring barley. Study Methods - field and laboratory experiments, collection and accumulation of information and processing it on a computer. Variability patterns of sowing parameters and yield characteristics of winter triticale and spring barley seeds, depending on different methods of post-harvest treatment of seeds. Increase in sowing qualities of winter wheat seeds, variety 'Doridna', is provided by cultivation after of grain pea; variety 'Doskonala' - after autumn fallow; and spring barley varieties 'Parnas' and 'Modern' - after soybean and grain corn. Seeds mostly grown on fertilized backgrounds had the best sowing qualities. Yielding properties of winter wheat variety 'Gordovyta' increased, when it was grown in fertilized background after pea; variety 'Doskonala' - after soybean; spring barley varieties 'Parnas' and 'Modern' - after sugar beet and grain corn. Growth regulators Noostim, Vegestim, Dominant increased in the yield capacity of winter wheat varieties by 0.11-0.43 t/ha; of spring barley varieties -by 0.07-0.11 t/ha.
