The purpose of the operation are: researching and development of the experimental technology and equipment for a new way of the seam high frequency welding for manufacturing of thin-walled pipes from stainless and low-alloy steels; researching of an possibility of improving the operational strength of welded construction's joints by a speed (shock) thermomechanical processing of metal in an area of joints; researching of induction heat treatment's modes of welds of a metal products with the complex external profile rails, and development and testing of experimental equipment for the implementation of the heat treatment prescribed modes; studing of thermal processes at an induction of large diameter heat treatment for metal pipes welds for increase of their strength and durability; the development of improved methods of calculating these processes for making the necessary equipment specifications. The basic research methods are: definition of optimal parameters which provide improvement in the mechanical properties of welded joints of thin-walled pipes and of their durability in conditions of an accompanying thermal, thermomechanical & cyclic loading, and also increasing welds mechanical properties of thin sheet metals by a thermomechanical treatment of the weld metal, a high-heat treatment of cross welds of rails and metal pipes with a large diameter. The metallographic methods of studying of a crystal structure of metal for a weld seam with using light and electron microscopy, holding of trials of welded joints on a mechanical strength and durability to a loading are used at conducting research. Methods of heat calculations are grounded on scientific standings of bases of heat-transfer theory and a thermal conductivity (boundary-value problems). Theoretical and practical results, novelty are: theoretically and practically proved the possibility of creating a new welding technology of a steel with formation obliquely-butt linkings of welded metal edges which enables to weld a material of small thickness and significally reduce the cost of products made of them, new technique of a thermomechanical treatment of metal in a band of joining directly during braze welding, a heat treatment of welded joints of high-strength rails and pipes of large diameter, consisting in essential reducing the cost of products made of them. All this is achieved due to saving energy and technological costs. With the implementation of the research results and development of appropriate technology the service life of finished products - high-strength thin-walled spiral-welded pipes, products made of a sheet steel, high-strength rails, large-diameter pipes will be increased. Subject and degree of implementation is: the developed a high-performance technology thin-walled spiral-welded pipes from stainless low alloy steel, a thermomechanical metal processing of metal at the junction, a induction heat treatment of high-strength rails and large diameter pipes tested in E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. It is planning the production of pipes for municipal service for application in hot and cold water service, the chemical industry, and also for thermomechanical processing of metal materials, a high-heat treatment of welded joints of high-strength rails and large diameter pipe at the factories of a railway transport and the oil-and-gas industry of Ukraine planed. The efficiency of the implementation is: at application of the designed welding technology of thin-walled pipes from stainless and low-alloy steels, the saving of metal may reach 50…70%, with a corresponding reduction the cost of products that are made from these pipes, the thermomechanical processing of metal joins zone directly during welding-soldering increases the strength of welds not less than on 15...20%, and reduces energy consumption for processes of joining, and the induction heat treatment of joints of high-strength rails and cross welds of large diameter pipes will essentially increase their strength, including to an fatigue failure and to reduce the time to 30% of thermal treatment.
