The impact of the negative effects of neo-imperial Russian Federation on the educational and scientific system of Ukraine under an undeclared war was analyzed. Ways to modernize our education and research areas in accordance with the requirements of the time were proposed. The destructive influence of the imperial conceptions of the "Russian world" on the Ukrainian socio-cultural field was highlighted.
