In the first section the H-shaped slot resonator with longitudinal slit segment which connects "dumbbell" of resonator and with transverse-oriented "dumbbell" relative to the microstrip transmission line is considered. In this section methods of analysis of complex heterogeneity as a jump in the strip width of the microstrip transmission line and the rectangular slot resonator in the layer grounding examined. Possible irregularities with complex topologies symmetrical arrangement relative to each other are considered. The aim of the research is studying the behavior patterns of the fundamental wave scattering characteristics of a microstrip transmission line on H-shaped slot resonator in its ground plane with a transverse "dumbbell" respect to the resonator waveguide transmission line. In addition, the purpose is to make recommendations on the use of such discontinuities for the design of the rejection band-filters in the microwave frequency range. The second section examines the complex hydrodynamic, thermal and mass transfer processes in the bath and structural elements of the metallurgical ladle furnace. The main attention is paid to the process of purging the melt with inert gas. The study proposed a three-dimensional mathematical model that takes into account hydrodynamic, heat and mass transfer processes in the melt which is based on a two-speed model for bubbling. This model will be used to develop recommendations for energy and resource saving technologies, in the production of high quality grades of steel with ladle furnace.
