Vlokh of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 Acoustic, piezooptic, elastic, magneto-, electrooptical and acoustooptical properties of chalcogenide crystals for high-efficient acoustooptic control by optical radiation were researched. It was shown that Tl3AsS4 crystals are high-efficient magnetooptical materials and promising for use in AO devices in IR spectral range. The phenomenon of acoustic isotropic point was observed in Tl3AsSe3 crystals. The complex investigation of chalcogenides crystals confirmed that AgGaGe3Se8 crystals may be promising for applications in acoustooptical devices in medium IR spectral range and Tl3AsSe3 crystals are one of the most effective (3068x10-15 c3/kg and 3262x10-15 c3/kg) AO material for IR spectral range. Quaternary chalcogenide crystals AgCd2GaS4 may be promising for applications in nonlinear optics and optoelectronics.
