Subject of research: factors of changes in the models of family functioning in Ukraine and the world. Goal of research: to uncover the location and the modern family model the structure of modern society - in Ukraine and the world - in the conditions of global social transformation. Relevance of the study due to the fact that there is a contradiction between the performance of the family one of its main functions - the birth of children and the practice of state support aimed at overcoming the demographic crisis in the country. Research methods. To achieve this goal were used general scientific and special methods. In determining the basic demographic and socio-economic issues of the family used methods of structural analysis, generalization and synthesis. Methods of induction and deduction allowed to specify and clarify the categorial-conceptual apparatus of family policy - namely, its essence, purpose, object and subject. To characterize the modern demographic situation of different categories of families were used graphical and statistical and economic methods. The systems approach used for the develop indicators of analysis of the impact of family policy on fertility levels of the different categories of families. By means of document review, peer reviews carried out to develop recommendations for new approaches to the state family policy and ways to modernize the mechanisms of its implementation. The working hypothesis research is as follows: family institution is undergoing significant transformations in the contemporary world, thus changing its nature and function. Auxiliary hypotheses are statements about the need to study the international experience (including experience of the EU) to form a family policy in Ukraine. In research process used theoretical interpretation of concepts of family and social transformations comparative historical assessment of the dynamics of these phenomena in the national, regional and global contexts. Brought the concept of the state, which promotes to assess state policy in Ukraine on family support policy in Ukraine. It will be intensively used statistical processing and analysis of public opinion polls. The practical value due to the possibility of using materials research by the public authorities in the preparation of the state programs of family support, improvement of national legislation aimed at the development and support of the family and so on. The structure of the work. The work consists of an introduction, four chapters, three units conclusions, list of used literature. The total amount of work is 191 pages. List of used literature includes 119 names. Basic concepts: Family, woman, man, marriage, birth, family values, children, childbearing orientation, state family policy, family assistance, individualized society, the phenomenon of the family, the traditional family.
