Genetic farms can not carry out even the simple reproduction through its own financial capacity in the current economic conditions. As recommended by FAO, they have to use two methods of preservation of the normative (minimal) numbers of farm animals of local and endangered breeds (in situ and ex situ). The amount of state financial support for preserving the normative number of farm animals of local and endangered breeds during the 2016-2020 is 75,1 million UAH. The legal mechanism for the implementation the economic responsibility of subjects for targeted use of state funds was developed.
