The purpose is the improvement of system pigs breeding using the best method of linear unbiased prediction (BLUP). Research Methods are zootechnical and mathematical statistics using computer technology. The system of pigs breeding for the Ukrainian Steppe White and Ukrainian Meat breeds using index evaluation by BLUP method in breeding herds of DP" DG of the Institute" Askania Nova" has been improved. The implementation of the estimation of breeding value genotypes of pigs by BLUP method reduces the age of achieve 100 kg live weight and thickness of bacon in the herds of young Ukrainian Steppe White breed on 2.7 days and - 2.9 mm, in the Ukrainian Meat breed - 6.4 days and - 3.1 мм, and increasing the prolificacy of sows in both herds on 1.9 and 1.7 head respectively. The breeding effect during one generation in the herd of Ukrainian Steppe White breed is 0,4 head, and for the year - 0.16 head, in Ukrainian Meat breed respectively - 0.24. and 0.6 heads. The economic effect of one sow, which was entered in the main herd, for Ukrainian Steppe White breed is 5466 UAN, for Ukrainian Meat breed - 4879 UAH. Formed the electronic database of the productive indices of young pigs, numbering 884 animals of Ukrainian Steppe White breed and 518 of Ukrainian Meat breed, which are kept in the Ukrainian State Enterprise "DG of the Institute Askania Nova."
