The purpose of research - to develop agronomic techniques improve the efficiency of food supply in the arid climatic conditions of the south of Ukraine due to the use of drought-resistant innovative crops to produce high-quality feed, reducing their costs and expenses for the maintenance of farm animals. Methods of research - field and laboratory experiments. The advanced system of production of feed for sheep in dry conditions arid steppes of the Ukraine, which is based on innovative use of forage crops that are adapted to the conditions of southern steppe of Ukraine, and the use of biological products. Using the perspective innovative varieties and biological products contributed to higher yields of perennial forage grasses on 4,5-39,8%, drought-tolerant annual forage crops - by 15,5-34,1%. Cost of grazing forage was 1.8- 15.1 UAH / c, silage crops - 9,7-10,2 UAH / c, herbage for hay - 10,8-23,4 UAH / c with the level of profitability - 76.6 -192.2; 71,0-109,7 and 90,7-146,1% respectively. In Ukraine there are no analogues of this development. The expected economic effect of the introduction of the development for 100 conditional heads is 30 thousand of UAH annually.
