The local heterogeneity of fluorescent response in the crystal volume of LGSO:Ce and YAGG:Ce was investigated by methods of fluorescent confocal microscopy with sub-micron resolution. It was shown on the example of mixed rare earth oxy-orthosilicates that an important factor in determining the light output and energy accumulation in the crystals of scintillators is a crystallization temperature that affects the intensity of evaporation of the melt components and concentration of traps in crystals.
