The systematic study of the intermolecular interaction energies in the crystal structures that contain only one defined synthon was performed. As a result it was suggested the classification of molecular crystals in general as well as supramolecular synthons as building blocks which defines the crystal type. Additionally it was suggested the approach to the comparative analysis of the role of weak intermolecular interactions in the formation of crystal structure. The developed approach to the analysis of molecular crystals creates the background for comprehensive study of the relationship between crystal structure and mechanic or optic properties of molecular crystals.
