Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 It was demonstrated that  doxorubicin-resistant phenotype development in vivo in carcinosarcoma Walker-256 is accompanied by changes in expression of such metal-containing proteins as ferritin (Fr), transferrin (Tf), ceruloplasmin (Cp), metallothionein-1 (Mt-1), matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in blood serum and tumour cells. Such changes  give evidence about energetic and pro/antioxidant balances disruptions. Sensitivity decrease in resistant cells appear due to activation of primary chains of detoxification system, including explored proteins. There is a tight connection between Tf, Fr, Cp and hepcidin expression in breast cancer cells with molecular type of tumour. Also, it was observed connection between these proteins levels in blood serum and clinicopathological characteristics of patients. Obtained data can suggest that explored proteins can serve as non-tumoral markers of cancer cells sensitivity in chemotherapy and prognosis Product Description popup.authors Бережна Н.М. Борікун Т.В.
