The aim of the project is development of armor protection means based on combined materials that contain ceramics, polymer composite and metal layers with increased impact resistance, withstanding high energy dynamic loads. The metods of researches are physical & mechanical tests, definition of the impact resistance under ballistic trials. Promizing candidates of glass-composites with new hybride polymer matrices are found that had increased damping properties. It is shown that the structures of the combined material containing ceramics, polymer composite and metal layers are the most effective for dissipation of the energy of a steel firing pin, and can be used as promising protection constructions.
