The aim: to establish the mode of mathematical transformation and practical informativeness of the aberration-among-cell distribution in blood lymphocytes of cancer patients during radiotherapy. Research methods and techniques: statistical methods of data treatment, applied statistical program packages CytoBayesJ_v.2.4 and Dose Estimate_v.5.1, personal computers. Theoretical and practical results: the quality of statistical fitting of six theoretical models (Poisson, beta-, gamma-, negative binomial, Neyman type A, Hermit of 2nd order) to the individual and groups' aberration-among-cell distribution was assessed in cancer patients at different stages of radiotherapy. The necessity of treating these data as the entire fit profile was demonstrated. The new model of linear-additive accumulation of aberrations in the scenario of fractionated exposure was applied for biodosimetry considering aberration-among-cell distribution in patients at all steps of radiotherapy. A new method of presenting biodosimetry results as a histogram of mutually correlated distribution of the probability density of the accumulated dose and irradiated body fraction was validated on patients' data. It was shown that the usage of the statistical characteristics of aberration-among-cell distributions as self-sufficient classifier is inappropriate, but these parameters work well in combination with other indices for prognostic estimations of adverse radiation effects caused by external or intra-cavitary therapeutic irradiation. Novelty: the analysis of simultaneous fitting of 6 statistical models to the aberration-among-cell distributions in radiotherapy patients, biological dosimetry of localized fractionated therapeutic exposure based on the linear-additive model of aberrations accumulation in vivo and generating of the multiply linear regressions, which include the fit profile of aberration-among-cell distributions, for prognoses of adverse effects of radiotherapy were performed for the first time. The effectiveness of implementation: the study revealed new patterns of arising of the cytogenetic effects of therapeutic irradiation. The results comprise the core for development of the methods of controlling the adverse radiation effects in patients during radiotherapy that may lead to optimization of the treatment schedule and reduction of the time required for patient rehabilitation. Area of application: radiobiology, radiotherapy. Product Description popup.authors Ігнатенко Ю.Г. Безугла В.С. Вiннiков В.А. Горяча В.О. Дригваль А.А. popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
