The methods of culturing of bentonite amoebae were proposed. The depending of amoebae reproduction from the presence of sugars and polyhydric alcohols were recorded in the first time. The unique stability of bentonite amoebae spores in the dried state during prolonged storage and the high temperatures was proven. The morphological features of bentonite amoebas that distinguish them from known Acanthamoeba: the presences of cilia, tubular skeletal structures, amoebae communication with each other through special structural formations were described.
