The purpose of the work is to ascertain the regularities of electrodeposition both of multi-component nanostructured electrodeposits of nickel from deep eutectic solvents and of Ni-P, Ni-CeO2 alloys and composites from methanesulfonate electrolytes.The methods of the study are as follows: voltammetry, potentiometry, gravimetry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray fluorescence analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, and the measurements of conductivity, surface tension, microhardness, and reflectivity of coatings. The main regularities of the electrochemical synthesis of functional composite electrodeposits on the basis of nickel from deep eutectic solvents are ascertained. The values of current density and temperature are determined at which high-quality nickel coatings may be obtained. The deposits with nickel matrix and cerium oxides dispersed phase are formed when methanesulfonate electrolytes are used for electrodeposition. The electrodeposition of Ni-P alloys from a methanesulfonate electrolyte is investigated. An increase in the phosphorus content in coatings ensures enhanced microhardness and reflectivity of the coatings.
