Research methods - mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma ( ICP-MS) , high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC / FLD), gas chromatography with electron cupture deterction (GC / ECD), diffused reflection spectrometry, solid phase extraction, fluorimetry. Main results - modified method for determination of polyaromatic hydrocarbones (PAH) in natural water by HPLC / FLD was used for monitoring of 16 priority PAHs in river water and their distribution between the fractions - water-soluble, sorbed on particulated mat ter. Standard technique of GC / ECD for separation and quantitation of normalized volatile organochlorines (thrihalomethanes and other) was improved, limit of determination is (0,5 - 1) mkg/dm3; the method was used to determine these compounds in tap water samples and estimate the effectiveness of household water purification filters. Sorbent based on Zn / Al - hydrotalcite intercalated by hexacyanoferrate (II) -ions was investigated for concentrating of 137Cs from river water for further radіometric determination in sorbent phase. Highly sensitive method of ICP-MS was used to investigate the level of river water (Dnieper) contamination by inorganic toxicants (Cu, Zn, Ni, Cd, Pb, Cr, Mn, Ba, Sr, Se, U, V, As, Li Co), their phase-dispersed distribution and bioavailability. The method for determination of bromide- ions with magenta and reflectance colorimetry was proposed. A new solid-photometric method for determining of anionic surfactants with methylene blue was developed by using polyurethane modified with a binary mixture of organic solvents (chloroform-hexane) for extraction. A similar method was investigated for trace phenol solid-phase concentration and fluorometric determination. DSTY 7525-2014 "Drinkig water Requirements and control methods of quality" was developed .
