The aim of work is to develop scientific and methodological principles of executing the disinfection measures as an effective means of epidemiological control in children's institutions. The scientific basis of the system of disinfection measures execution in children's institutions was developed according to the results of researches. Features of development of epidemic process, etiological structure and biological properties of causal agents and carriers of infections are considered. The criteria of selection of disinfectants of different chemical nature and conditions of their effectiveness provision are determined. Guidance for disinfection measures in children's institutions is prepared.
