Purpose - scientific substantiation of possibilities of using radiocarbon as an ecological and hygienic marker. Research Methods - analytical, empirical, radiometric, mathematical statistics. The result - a retrospective study of radiocarbon in tree rings to detect variations in the features of its air aspects of global change and emissions of power plant sources. On the content of 14C in the grass set the character of the spatial distribution of CO2 emissions of fossil fuel power plant and close to motorway. It was found that the decrease in the concentration of 14C in plants throughout the growing season near the thermal power plant corresponds to the integral impact of CO2 emissions from fossil fuel containing no radiocarbon. An increase of 14C in plants shows the effect of existing redundant components 14C, worked out at the plant. Conformed it that the application by liquid scintillation counting and developed measurement procedures allows the use of radiocarbon as an ecological and hygienic marker and ensures high productivity, sensitivity and informativeness.
