Established are regularities in the formation of charge state of titanium ions and the distribution of the defects at the growth of Ti:sapphire and (Ti, Ce) sapphire crystals. The spectral and luminescent characteristics are optimized, a model of light diode source of white light with crystalline (YAG:Ce) luminescent converter is created.
