Data on survey of a taxonomic diversity of soils in nature and anthropogenic habitats in the Ukrainian Carpathians, the Stilsk Gorbogiria and in the Lviv urbo-ecosystem was generalized. Usage of a soil diversity as a conservation criteria for selection of ecological network objects was justified. Data on a zoo-, phyto- an biodiversity, their conservation value, and principals of a protection of anthropogenic habitats (biotopes) in the Ukrainian Carpathians, the Trans-Carpathian valley, the Voluno-Podillia, and in the Subcarpathia was generalized. A set of model objects, which can be centers of a biodiversity conservation on a local and regional scale, were selected. Plots which have a special value for a conservation of a species diversity of mollusks in an urbanized and suburbanized environment were allocated. The methodology of an assessment of perspective habitats and habitats with a special value, from the point of view of their inclusion to the regional ecological network, were developed, taking into account conservation criteria of a biota. Among basic criteria, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of a ornitho-, teriofauna and of some other taxa were used: a high species diversity, a high degree of rarity of some species, a sensitivity to environmental changes. Ten applications with justification of creation of new wetlands of an international value in the Carpathians and on adjacent areas (total area 10888 ha) were submitted to the Committee of Ramsar Convention.
