Objective:to study the nature of the catalytic activity and isofermental spectrum modulations as well as some peculiarities in the hormonal regulation of blood aldehyde dehydrogenases and internal organs in the intact and immobilized rats of pubertal age. Methods: spectrophotometric, immunofermental, and statistical. Results: the age dynamics of the aldehyde dehydrogenase activity has been defined in the tissues of the heart and liver. Specific changes in the activity, characteristic of the tissues, have been found under conditions of immobilization stress and hypoandrogeny in the rats of pubertal age. An increase in the T level in animals with extracted gonades brings to a decrease in the aldehyde dehydrogenase activity and reduces the carbonyl products catabolism in the oxidative way of their utilization. Novelty: the existence of the relationship between testosterone level and aldehyde dehydrogenase activity in the tissues of the internal organs of rats has been demonstrated in the study. Effectiveness: adoption of the research results will contribute to an increase in the knowledge of students in educational institutions of the III-IV levels. Application fields: research organizations, being engaged in age-related and medical biochemistry.
