The problem of osteoporosis is becoming increasingly important. It is connected with the widespread enlargement of life expectancy. Increasing the number of older people is accompanied by rise frequency of metabolic diseases, including osteoporosis first of all. The presence of type 2 diabetes and menopause significantly worsens the prognosis of patients. The research was devoted to define of communications of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) COL1A1 gene rs1800012, 1107946 and VDR gene rs731236, rs11568820 on the development of postmenopausal osteoporosis risk, calcium and phosphorus levels, levels of osteoassociated hormones and biologically active agents.
