Among the studied model systems a special attention is paid to the nematic liquids near a hard wall. A number of analytical expressions are derived for the structural and thermodynamic properties in the mean-field approximation and the Gaussian approximation, and the corresponding numeric calculations are provided as well. Pair distribution functions, density profiles, order parameters and values of the contact value data are compared with the computer simulation data. The obtained results are published or submitted for publication as three scientific articles.
