Purpose of the research: establishing of the modern biosecurity and prevention biodamages of archival storages and documents in state archives, creating the system to monitor the preservation safety of documents in the National Archival Holdings. Methods of the research: general microbiological and entomological techniques, microscopy methods, analysis and synthesis. Theoretical and practical results: during the research, we studied microbiological and entomological conditions of archival storages and documents of a number of specified the particular state archives. We compiled relevant acts and recommendations for improving the microbiological and entomological state of archival storages. The novelty of the research: was first conducted microbiological and entomological monitoring of the state of a number of archival storages and documents. Scope of application. Results of the study can be used in practical, research and methodological activities of state archives of Ukraine, particular agencies of the NAS of Ukraine, in the specialized departments of universities. Conducted research has scientific-theoretical, methodological and practical value and can be extended to further research projects aimed at the development and implementation of microbiological and entomological monitoring of archival institutions, and the development of analytical-recommendation and methodological materials for public archive institutions of Ukraine. Implementation efficiency: research results provide methodological basis for the introduction of continuous monitoring of the state of the premises in state archival institutions of Ukraine and archival materials.
