The efficiency of employment of reconstructed surveillance specimens to obtain data on the level of embrittlement of RPV metal at a fluence above normative (standard) values is demonstrated. Technique was used to estimate the level of irradiation embrittlement of base metal and weld metal of reactors WWER-1000.
