Object of study - the state of old-aged trees of the "Alexandria" State Dendrological Park of NAS of Ukraine. The purpose of the project - to ensure the preservation of the unique genetic pool of all old - aged trees, to carry on an inventory of all old - aged trees of the "Alexandria" Dendrological Park; to assess their phytosanitary, aesthetical and decorative states; to perform the necessary measures on the individual care of trees. Method study - trip. Inventory of trees was carried out during the natural research. Historical data of collection formation are received from processing the literature and archival materials. Damage of trees by pathogens were made visually by the presence of fruit bodies, cancer wounds, hollows, top wither. The work resulted in an inventory of old trees, estimation of their phytosanitary condition, caring out the measures on the individual care (cleaning of dry branches, installation of protective fencing and the Cobra protection system for crowns, closing of hallows by protective nets). Ecological passports and Cadastre of outstanding old -aged trees of the Park were created. According to the results of investigation the teaching materials: "System of measures on the protection of old - aged arboreal plats of ancient parks" and the guided tour are designed and the guidebook: "Green patriarchs of the "Alexandria" Dendrological Park of NAS of Ukraine" are published.
