The effect of the expression of these genes for secondary metabolism and morphogenesis of Streptomyces nogalater Lv65 was investigated. Manipulation of these genes is a successful tool for obtaining of strains with elevated synthesis of nogalamycin and allowed to establish separate stages of regulation of secondary metabolism of this antibiotic. Application of genetically engineered manipulations with snogM, snogL snogY genes resulted in generation of novel nogalamycines. Modified nogalamycines have increased anti-tumor activity. They are more effective in comparing with widely-used antibiotic doxorubicin and effectively act on cells with different types of resistance. The optimization of the S. nogalater culture conditions was performed. The optimal medium for the biosynthesis of nogalamycin by the strain S. nogalater Lv65 is medium SG. The highest level of antibiotic synthesis was observed by growing S. nogalater Lv65 in neutral pH and temperature of 28-30 ° C. The highest level of nogalamycin biosynthesis was observed by culturing S. nogalater Lv65 on media with 5% glucose.
