The following characteristics were taken into account by this classification: method of measurement implemented in the metering system, type of reduction of gas volume to standard conditions and type of normalization of errors of the metering systems. New mathematical models of component uncertainties of gas volume measurement were developed for the metering systems in household sector and in industry. Technique for assessment of uncertainty of natural gas volume measurement by means of various systems on the basis of gas meters was developed based on the suggested approaches and new mathematical models of component uncertainties of gas volume measurement. New technique and new models are the basis for development of normative documents on improvement of accuracy of natural gas metering systems based on gas meters. Implementation of the normative documents will lead to saving and economical consumption of natural gas both in household sector and in industry.
